J. Pierrepont Finch began at his company as a lowly window washer. He soon realizes that he is not content with just washing windows – he wants to be important. After reading a book called How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Finch lands himself a job in the mailroom and a new secretary girlfriend named Rosemary. By following the books instructions exactly, Finch works his way up from the mailroom to the board room, eventually landing the title of Vice President in charge of advertising. One thing the book didn't predict was the extreme malicious jealousy of J.B. Biggley who makes it his mission to stop Finch's meteoric rise. When Finch gets tricked into backing a bad ad campaign, he is forced to take matters into his own hands –
